The release of Jordan Popky’s “Ego To Feed” took place on February 4th of 2022. Jordan has been able to provide a track that contains an endless amount of effort as well as making a great bop for audiences to listen to.
“Ego To Feed” is a track that is able to provide feelings that were bound to be heard from a point of view that is able to provide some sort of backstory as to how that came to be. With instrumentation that has gotten everybody moving to the groove, the upbeat nature of the track provides an outstanding mood of it all along, letting the audience look into the eyes of someone who wants their voice to be heard.
A Philadelphia-born singer, though based in New York, Jordan has been able to provide an ideal motive behind her music and what she can do as a singer to provide a beat that can make the audience sway to the sound of her releases. According to jordanpopky.com, “Jordan’s musical roots are solidly folk”, despite her being classically trained in mezzo-soprano with experience in theater.
In “Ego To Feed”, the melodies were not the only noteworthy aspects of the track. In many ways, this track is tuneful and well-shaped. Jordan has a powerful and rich vocal tone as she was able to put real feelings into the lyrics. The lyrics were expressive and clever with some punchy phrases. The instrument(s) included in “Ego To Feed” provided a wonderful sound, making the track feel and sound amazing with each beat and tune. Overall, this track is melodic, and I think it has the potential to make the audiences sway and dance.
