Coming off strong with her latest singles, “lo siento, no estoy” and “all the things i would do,” Lune strips back from her indie-pop side to a more vulnerable, quiet side. Doing this shows Lune’s undeniable talent; the instrumental taking a back seat allows Lune’s vocals and lyrics to be heard more intimately than ever before.
“lu’s lullaby” begins with a melodic tune composed of guitars and Lune’s alluring voice singing peacefully over. As she sings the lyrics, “I’m here to be your friend” and “Tonight we lay, hand on hand, we stay,” Lune’s unconditional love for her sister shines through. Lune’s vocals begin humming in an angel-like voice as the chorus arrives; strings and soaring guitars are heard in the back, and the instrumental begins to unfold into a true lullaby. The calming serenity that is felt upon hearing the chorus for the first time is something only being home can give someone.
