Check out these two brand-new tracks and the unique stories they share. These new tracks are ‘Park City’ by Sydney Hancock and ‘VOGUE’ by Sofi Vonn. The former tells a tale of longing, and the latter teaches to trust one’s own art no matter what attention comes from it.
Sydney Hancock – Park City
‘Park City’ is a beautiful acoustic guitar and piano instrumental-based track with an emotional ballad-like sound. On top of the main instrumentation, there are soft synths in the background to add atmosphere. There’s also soft shaker-based percussion that’s introduced in the chorus. The lyrics in this track are very picturesque. They tell a story of a former relationship in a former place and build into a story of longing. “Take me back to Park City, with those amber eyes so pretty / Cold nights and whiskey, telling me you’d miss me more,” the chorus rings out.” Overall, it seems to be a longing ballad when one part of a relationship has to go away.
Sofi Vonn – VOGUE
‘VOGUE’ is a sonically produced dance-pop track with a lot of energy and excitement. The drums don’t have the speed of typical trap drums, but they have an electronic trap sound. The overlying synths have a bit of a buzz to them, and they work with dynamic stereo to make the sound come to life. Additionally, there is a brighter synth riff that overarches a lot of the track. “I know I’m not in Vogue but you can find me in the press / We’re all under patrol so bear our souls on the internet,” the lyrics depict. The lyrics are meant as a self-reminder that one doesn’t need to be on a huge publication to celebrate achievements. This message is important for any artist who doubts what they create.
