James Atlas – Purpose

‘Purpose’ takes the music of James Atlas in a new direction with a bouncy, lifelike piano and more natural instrumentation. That being said, in straying from his electronic sound, he found a way to keep a lot of energy and excitement. The vocals are heartfelt and still hit the same signature sound that fits into the rest of his discography. It’s dynamic and flows well, and the lyrics explore the finding of one’s own purpose. It seems like a tale of introspection that asks what’s next.

Maria-Ines – House Party

‘House Party’ works with a raw production style, quick acoustics, and a buzzy bass to build a backing for riffy vocals. The flow has an exciting bounce to it, and the instrumentals pull back and punch in in a way that allows the vocals and lyricism to reach the spotlight. This track lyrically explores being at a house party. But, it’s not about the liveliness and fun. It more so explores being trapped in one’s own head at a gathering that should be fun and connective.

N3WYRKLA – ADD IT UP

‘ADD IT UP’ is a high-energy pop idol banger with more than enough of a punch. The flow of this track hits dynamics on point with smooth vocals at times dashed in with belted bits and punchy rhythmic flow. There’s something anthemic about the chorus, and the danceability is absolutely there. The lyrics give a confidence boost, sharing as a woman that a man needs to show love purposefully and give what’s deserved in a relationship or connection. “Do better,” it states.

Amanda Fagan – Chasing Freeways

‘Chasing Freeways’ pulls the tempo back from the rest of the tracks, and it’s done with an acoustic guitar and atmospheric synths in a way that provides an emotional soundscape. This track sounds natural, hitting catchy pop harmonies and vocals with drawn-out notes, giving a focus on the lyrics. Speaking of the lyrics, this track is about the introspective space the mind can go to on a long drive. The imagery is well implemented, and it hits an emotional tone of traveling away from loved ones.
