3 Pop Tracks Ready to be Addicted to

These three pop tracks just came out this year, and they’re here to show that pop is a diverse genre filled with catchy hooks and songs that have repeatability.

Groove Incorporated – Thinkin Of You

‘Thinkin Of You’ has breezy synth instrumentation that gives the feeling of summertime from the sound alone. There’s a bit of a funk and groove in the way it bounces around, and that bouncy sound lends to a vague reggae twang. The vocals are bright and beautiful, and their breathiness fits into the instrumentation well. This track gets into concepts of being in love and having someone on the mind, though it mentions this love being a memory and heartbreak. The uplifting sound is contrasted well with the exploration of post-love.

Breezy BRG – Losing My Breath

‘Losing My Breath’ serves addictive high-octane pop idol realness. The vocals in this track mix emotion, powerful belts, and stellar production in the spotlight. In addition to the stellar melodic vocals, there are also rapped portions that are really strong. That being said, the guitars and drums give a bit of an indie backing. To listen to this entire track is to have an entire experience due to its dynamics overall. Lyrically, this track is about chasing one’s dreams and getting through anything that comes in the way of that.

TAYSHA – Dance Take a Chance

‘Dance Take a Chance’ pulls the energy into a moderate tempo, though it has an infectious nature and danceability through this tempo. Even though the tempo is moderate, the dynamic instrumentation keeps things lifelike. There’s something a bit 80s about the atmospheric synths, and the main vocal finds a way to be soft and strong. Additionally, there’s a rapped verse with a second singer that adds some extra life into the piece. Lyrically, this track seems to be about not caring about what others think and instead dancing and letting go of worries.
