Making their long-awaited return to the airwaves after 15 years of building suspense, tenured Jackson, Kentucky-based guitarist and rock artist Mike Shouse has finally emerged from the studio with his most triumphant and ambitious undertaking yet. As he reminds fans of his instrumental prowess and almost surgical precision in crafting a narrative through his musicality, fans across the globe celebrate the weeks leading up to the release of Shouse’s upcoming album, “Jaded.”
A half-hour collection of upbeat riffs, inspirational melodies, and the occasional ballad-inspired verse, the album plays to audiences almost as a stream of consciousness straight from the artist’s mind, and a collection of their greatest work crafted throughout the decades. Drawing from Shouse’s long list of friends he has made over a lifetime in music, Jaded features a plethora of top-tier contributors throughout the collection, including Nitro’s Michael Angelo Batio, Whom Gods Destroy’s Ron “Bumblefoot Thal, and neoclassical pioneer Tony MacAlpine. The collaboration serves not only to bolster the creative cohesiveness of the record but also emphasizes Shouse’s influence within the genre over his many years in the scene.
