Giving fans all they could possibly ask for from an independent group, Dublin-based alt trio Fastriser has made their presence known throughout the airwaves this year. Releasing a consistent stream of increasingly personal work over the course of 2025, they have made incredible strides to establishing their identity worldwide, and garnered an increasingly devout fanbase as they seize every opportunity they make for themselves. Highlighting their recent string of studio singles, their recent track “Falling Dream” stands out as a marquee example of their creative proclivities as it highlights the artists’ talents for blending hypnotic musicality with existential and thought provoking lyrics.
The piece begins as an electronic guitar plays a brief introductory stanza, and as the melody quickly erupts into a rousing, anthemic tone, we feel the world of the song immediately being built around us. Tandemly accompanying this, the vocals begin the narrative, as they waste no time getting to the emotional weight of the music with the opening line “There is nothing, there is nothing. No thing but love, the love you’re made of.” The juxtaposition of the deeply pensive storyline played alongside an optimistic and danceable rhythm bolsters the impact of this single, allowing the audience to take their message at face value while being reminded of the hope that holds it together.
Anchored in deep philosophical reflections of life, purpose, and the value of how we spend our time on this earth, the lyrically motivated piece proves itself as a defining statement piece in the group’s growing repertoire.
