Here’s an early gift for you this holiday season. One track explores love in the holidays, and another is about the hardships of growing older. Use these tracks as a way to explore very different emotions and Christmas is on the horizon!
Jarryd Elias Ft. Sara Sommerer – Lucky Sleigh Bell
‘Lucky Sleigh Bell’ is an optimistic jazzy track with a warm sound and nice bounce. It uses brass, bells, and percussion to make up the majority of the instrumentation. Its flow gives a joyful sound, and the dynamics keep it exciting. What really stands out, though, is the vocals. They have so much power behind them as notes are belted out, and the riffs are lifelike. Sara Sommerer’s vocals have a lot to add with their intricacies and strength. This track is partially a holiday jam, a track of falling in love during the season.
Sara Diana – Growing Pains
‘Growing Pains’ plays primarily with a soft piano sound in its instrumentation, giving it a somber ballad sound. It is an emotional track overall, and said piano is wonderfully used to help the emotion resound. Vocally, it uses both soft and full sounds to drive the feelings within further home. As the track moves on, synths are introduced which add atmosphere and a sense of introspection. The lyrics capture a tale of losing girlhood as one grows older. It shares that when young, growing up seems cool, but then things get harder as time moves along.
