Today, March 7, 2025, so many artists have released several tracks and projects in a range of genres. But, right now might be the time to feel your feelings out as the rainy season starts to pick up. Each of these 4 singles came out today. They explore feelings of personal struggles or loss, but the last selection gives an essence of hope, sharing that pain isn’t here to stay.
KUILL – Sleeping Satellite
This cover of ‘Sleeping Satellite’ takes the track and reinvents it with modern sonics and reimagined instrumentation. The drums almost give a trap sound, and the vocals work with powerful belts, strong melody, and soft moments that are delivered with beauty. There’s a lot of emotion in the vocals of this track, and it takes the original tale of lost love and the effect that has on one’s outlook as a relationship fizzles out too soon.
Makaio Huizar – Father
‘Father’ is a track that captures melancholy in such a raw and real form. It has simple acoustic instrumentation with a natural beauty, and the vocals have a soft and emotional undertone. Then, there are some synths with drawn out notes that add a lot of atmosphere. It lyrically tells a tale of an unsupportive father that makes one feel like they aren’t enough. It’s written by a young artist, but its lyricism can even resound through the minds of older listeners who had similar upbringings.
Sara Baroni – I lost it, I miss it
‘I lost it, I miss it’ hits an indie melancholic tone with acoustic beauty and crisp production. The simple instrumentation plays with guitar strumming and piano to start off, introducing bass and well-paced percussion to add more life later in the track. It gives that slow rise feel in its instrumentation, as the energy picks up slowly from front to back. This track is about loss, though it doesn’t exactly express what that loss is. With loss comes yearning for what once was, and this track explores that in a poetic way that’s open to interpretation.
Alex Zind Ft Grafezzy – Pain Ain Here 2 Stay
‘Pain Ain Here 2 Stay’ starts with jazzy piano and a catchy rap hook delivered by Grafezzy, and then more electronic sonics hit in, and a trap drum gives a more modern and energetic feel. This track has so much energy and life to it, and it has both classic and nostalgic rap influences! Lyrically, it gets into a story of struggle and pain, but it also tells an overarching narrative of overcoming and hope. It basically is here to state that though there is pain, it’s only temporary. This is the lead single of a new album by Alex Zind called “Lucid”.
