These last couple of months have been filled with a beautiful range of artists in all different genres. The 3 tracks in this write-up are all unique to a lot of what’s released in the hustle and bustle, and hopefully, you’ll find an emotional gem that fits into your personal playlists. Each one deals with deep emotions in its own way.
Nanná Millano – Wild Fire
‘Wild Fire’ is one of those tracks with a unique atmosphere. There’s a crackle of a fire, dynamic synths, and an ethereal sound musically. The vocals have a lot of range to them, and they have a bit of a spoken-word sound at times, a chant at times, and a soft vibrato during others. The lyrics follow suit to the title. This track is about wildfires, expressing fears and concern over their destruction in recent times.
Jack XANDER – Listen 2 My Heart
‘Listen 2 My Heart’ is an electronic pop song with high energy and an infectious bounce. It works with boppy synths and a buzzy bassline underneath. The flow gives a lot of energy, but it doesn’t rush itself. Vocally, there are portions with a punchy punk anthemic sound and other portions have more synthy vocals with captivating filtering. Lyrically, this track is about listening to one’s own heart, but it also expresses feelings of being mistreated by another.
NEZZY Ft. Jack Mullen – save me
‘save me’ serves as an emotional cut with an electronic basis and emo rap influences pulled in by Jack Mullen. The backing instrumentation has that high-octane EDM sound in this track’s more energetic moments, and the synths add atmosphere during the less energetic moments. Overall, the builds and falls in energy are on point and the mix is dynamic. This track lyrically explores mental health, running from one’s own problems and past, and the need to be saved from one’s own pain.
