Yabadabadooda /// Taylor Lally

Taylor Lally—a songwriter and performer based in Northern Ireland—released her latest track called ‘Yabadabadoodah’ on September 5th. This upbeat tune followed in the footsteps of her self-titled album called ‘Taylor Lally.’

Produced by Ian Barter, the introduction to ‘Yabadabadoodah’ was smooth and rhythmic. Taylor’s vocal tone was warm and compelling, as she was able to sing her heart out to the words of the track itself. The lyrics were clever, and the phrases were original. ‘Yabadabadoodah’ had an atmospheric accompaniment; it complements the vocal track nicely. As the track was able to progress, Taylor was able to give her intended audience something relatable, or a story that has yet to be told, even when it comes to being inspired by something or someone.

Speaking of ‘Yabadabadooda,’ it was shared that “Inspired by a past lover who spoke “light language,” Taylor found both human and wonder in the experience — and turned it into a song that balances playful wit with emotional depth.” Taylor says that she “thought it was funny, but also kind of magical. So I wrote a song about it.”

If you’re looking for a songwriter who can provide inspiration that can spark a story that speaks well to audiences, Taylor Lally is your go-to artist. ‘Yabadabadoodah’ seems like a real promise, as the song’s instrumentation brings a balanced accompaniment as well. Vocally and instrumentally, the performance quality of ‘Yabadabadoodah’ was high throughout. Overall, the track was melodious and well-shaped, as Taylor continues to shine and share her incredible talent with new and current listeners.
