Broadcasting from their home in Sweden to the world at large, Gothenburg-based alt-rock solo act, Yellow Majesty, has been turning heads for years with their unique talent for creating intimate beats with a larger than life feel. The brainchild of veteran musician and academic Amir Haj-Bolouri, their work consistently demonstrates a proclivity for creating anthemic and thoughtful art that feels comfortable, yet nuanced. While the artist prepares for the release of their newest upcoming album, APHANTAZIA, they give audiences a taste of what is to come, debuting the titular single from the collection.
A melodic and reverberant electric guitar strums an introductory riff to begin the piece, and we are immediately thrown into the world of the artist’s music. While various embellishments and accouterments appear and round out the tonal structure, we feel a sense of anticipation and adrenaline while the verse progresses.
