Born in Brazil and currently residing amongst the storied underground electronic scene of the UK, EMD artist Bruno Tenório has emerged from their studio with a debut collection that reflects their lifelong journey as a musician. Tenacious in their approach, they have quickly made their name known within their community and beyond as they seize every opportunity they continue to make for themselves. With their much anticipated debut album, NAUPENC, slated for release at the end of the month, they give fans a taste of what is to come with the release of their latest single, Sleepless.
Sharp and resonant electronic embellishments juxtapose each other from the opening notes, and immediately from the beginning of the piece, we feel the music building a world all of its own around the listener in real time. Elongated percussive bass notes anchor the music’s melody, as light and experimental tones pepper the track, taking the single in ambitious and thought provoking directions throughout its entirety. A single that inspires attention and imagination at the same time, we feel a sense of anticipation with each verse as we hear the music develop.
Each layer the artist adds to the piece takes listeners further down the rabbit hole of their imagination, and strives to not only give fans a deeper understanding of this music, but to the proclivities of themself as an artist.
