Between Sips just released their single ‘In Between,’ a cozy vibe that builds a sense of introspection. Because of this, Popfad has collected two more tracks to pair with, which also build a sense of deep thought with their lyricism and instrumentation. Check ‘em out!
Between Sips – In Between
‘In Between’ by Between Sips is a cozy, smooth-flowing pop track with jazzy influences and beautiful vibes. It’s amazingly smooth and has a nice swing to it, and the simple bass-driven instrumentation is the perfect packdrop for the sweet flow of the vocals. Though it has a laid-back vibe, it flows in a way that breathes life into it. It comes across as picturesque, and that comes from the music alone. The vibes give an idea that comes from the band name; it feels as if it’s meant to build a sense of deep thought between sips at a coffee shop. Lyrically, this track is about working towards a new world and getting through the chaos to find peace.
Aaron Koenig – Schrödinger’s Cats
‘Schrödinger’s Cats’ is a quirky rock love song that uses ideas of quantum physics. Its guitar lead is addictive, and the vocals have a really nice rasp to them. They have a raw edit that allows an emotional punch to shine through beautifully. It has a bit of an 80’s vibe, especially when the synths enter, but the production gives a lot of clarity and modernizes it. In terms of lyrics, this track rests in the range of metaphor. It uses the quantum physical idea of Schrödinger’s cat to describe a relationship that’s back and forth. It’s creative and fun, but it also does well at telling its idea clearly.
Songs of Solomon – Back to you
‘Back to You’ is another track that takes an 80s vibe and modernizes it with crisp production. The way the bass flows gives it a near vaporwave vibe, and the synthy instrumentation is filled with color and dynamics. It’s nothing short of cinematic, and the bass and percussion work together well to create a distinct rhythm that somehow meets the middleground of danceable and emotional. The melody gives it an addictive quality, and the hook delivers. Lyrically, it explores the concept of being in love, and no matter where one goes, they are driven back to the one who has garnered their affection.
