Black Seraphim /// Watch Me Bleed

Drawing from an eclectic base of inspiration, Los Angeles-based new wave metal outfit, Black Seraphim, has emerged onto the scene with a presence that refuses denial. Influenced by titans of their genre such as Dream Theatre, their work takes on a larger than life style of aural composition that demands attention with every playthrough. Aggressively seizing every opportunity these artists continue to make for themselves, they step into the newest phase of their creative career with the release of their latest single, Watch Me Bleed. A single defined by instrumental cohesion, pensive lyricism, and a general embodiment of their genre as a whole, it defines the emerging project’s ambitions in many ways.

The piece begins with a thunderous guitar and percussive introduction that definitively introduces the direction of the tune from the opening notes. Shortly after, an electric violin takes charge of the melody, as the orchestral element of the tune helps build the world of this music around us in real time. From the first verses, we feel the enterprising nature of the sound these artists cultivate start to develop as the tune progresses. As vocalist Olivia Rosetti appears on the track shortly after, her narratively driven contributions round out the tonal sensibilities as they deliver the opening line “The pressure it takes to fill a hole burning inside my head while my thoughts are dead.”

A bold introduction to this outfit’s aspirations, the single showcases the fearless proclivities of this young group. Having accomplished so much with this latest release, fans can only wait with anticipation to see what could possibly be coming next from these artist’s minds and studio.
