We come across songs in life that entice us immediately; they draw us in with their poetic mannerisms and angelic ways. These songs speak to us on a different level than mainstream pop hits or rock n roll jams – they make us think, and they stick with us for some time to come. These impacts and more are present when listening to Comilitunes “Where Things Go.”
It’s hard to believe that this track stands as Comilitunes debut single because of the level of artistry that is present throughout. Consisting of Lisa Istenes, Mina Lichtenberg and Constantin Hauck, these artists all met while studying at university. They found that they loved making music covers together and decided to start crafting their own work together – the beloved Comilitunes.
Taking their main inspiration points from sounds of jazz, pop and classical works, “Where Things Go” encompasses hints from each of these genres. Starting off with the soft playing of the piano, Lisa’s angelic vocals swoop in and hypnotize us right off the bat. The emotional lyrics speak to the comfort that we often find in uncertain situations. Often when we decide to venture into new realms is when we discover the most about ourselves.
“Where Things Go” sounds like the feeling of meeting someone new. Those exhilarating, exciting first moments embarking in a new relationship feel like nothing else. The track is so romantic and ethereal, it should be added to the soundtrack of a romance novel turned major motion picture immediately!
This heartfelt, touching track is separate from other pieces that grace the music industry today. “Where Things Go” is effortlessly delicate and transforming. The optimistic vibe apparent throughout the track will have you excited to embark on a new project, relationship or venture after listening to it. This track is truly life changing, is all about seeing just where things can go.
