We all find ourselves going back to an ex from time to time. There’s just something about some people that keep us hooked, and we find ourselves continuously returning back to them. This is a common running theme through modern relationships and is a treacherous cycle that can be incredibly difficult to break. Liliana’s new track “Again” depicts this perfectly.
The 17-year-old singer and songwriter accredits some of her musical inspiration to the likes of Dua Lipa, Adele and Olivia Rodrigo. The familiar topic of relationships that is present in those artists music is similar to that of Liliana. Through “Again,” Liliana reminisces on a past relationship with an old lover.
She speaks on how it’s so hard to move on from them, how there’s no way that they could simply just go back to being just friends after what they shared. Liliana sings about how she knows she’ll regret reaching back out to this person from her past, but she just cannot help herself. The bond that they shared was unlike any other, and the connection persists on no matter how much time they’ve spent apart or how poorly they treated her.
“Again” platforms such a vulnerable side of Liliana, allowing the audience to truly get to know more about her. The honesty and transparency on this track allows listeners to fall in love with her brilliant voice and point-of-view. Speaking on a matter that so many people can relate to allows for a true connection between Liliana and her fans.
Continuing to work on more upcoming projects with her team, Liliana has been hard at work writing songs and producing more music. At such a young age, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Liliana and her artistry.
