Got This Joy /// Stephanie Heitz

Stephanie Heitz’s goal with her music is to inspire and uplift her listeners, and she certainly achieves that with “Got This Joy”, an anthemic number for feeling good. In today’s world, musical therapy is definitely necessary and Stephanie delivers an impressive tune with her talent.

Stephanie has been singing her whole life and was initially inspired by her grandmother, who was a jazz musician. There is something inspirational and uplifting about “Got This Joy” that never makes itself vulnerable to coming off as cliche or cheesy. The keys, horns, and rhythm section have a nostalgic quality to past soulful records before the age of smartphones that had a sincerity to it. The genuine songwriting is refreshing while also feeling reminiscent.

“Got This Joy” is a feel-good RnB song with a great mix and solid performances. The groove is in front of the mix with strong drums and a deep bass that is front and center, providing the rhythm for Stephanie Heitz to take center stage and display her soulful and powerful voice that finds a way to also be extremely smooth. There are hints of Joss Stone but with a more vibrato delivery that makes Stephanie’s voice really easy to digest.

Depending on what part of the world you’re in, you may not be experiencing this song during summertime right now, but there is a dreamy, warm weather quality that feels suited for outdoors in the sun. Either way, this is a great tune to keep you warm wherever you are.

For fans of soulful and uplifting music, we highly recommend you familiarize yourself with Stephanie Heitz. “Got This Joy” is a strong introduction and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
