Q: I really enjoyed your song ‘Tested’! Can you tell us what it’s about?
ELAINE: Thank you! Sure thing! The song is basically about awareness, vulnerability and self love. Sometimes in relationships we tend to deal with certain things we wouldn’t normally deal with when we love someone, and this song touches on that and knowing your self worth no matter how much you care about someone.
Q: What is the music scene like in New York?
ELAINE: Oh it’s very diverse. There are many amazingly talented artists that get over looked in NY. It’s very fun and inspiring to witness at times.
Q: What is your songwriting process like?
ELAINE: To be honest it varies. Most of the time it’s in the studio, vibing to some beats, and at times it can be random and comes from situations I’m in or am around.
Q: How would you describe your unique sound?
ELAINE: I would describe my sound as heartfelt and relatable. I love making music that someone can hear and instantly feel as though I wrote the song for them specifically because of how much they can relate to it. It’s really special to me.
Q: Who are some of your biggest inspirations?
ELAINE: Some of my biggest inspirations are Usher, Brandy, Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson and the list goes on lol
Q: What’s coming next for you?
ELAINE: New music, new music and new music. Along with some shows and music videos. Planning on expanding as much as possible with my team.
