This January, hard rock 5-piece Ganzi Gun made their return to music after 4.5 years with the new single ‘Aggressive Response’.
‘Aggressive Response’ serves as a nostalgic race to the hard rock of the early to mid-2000s. On that note, it also races forward with an energy that can be described as, well, aggressive. Overall, this track packs a serious punch with an abundance of dynamics. The drums pack a punch, the vocals work with spine-chilling force and growl Also, the guitar riffs are intricate and thrashy, and the bass has those quick gravely hits. The flow and energy of the track is split up with a bass solo, a spoken word piece by Pygmalion Dadakarides, and a guitar solo. The energy fades and then rises for another rush to close things out. Each piece of the vocals and instrumentation is benefitted by the on-point production!
This is one of those songs that’s sure to call audiences into the pit! Lyrically, this track is about rising up in the face of being pushed down. It explores the darkness in humanity and a tale of being locked up until there’s only one option left, an aggressive response.
Ganzi Gun is an Athens, Greece-based modern hard rock band that takes a lot of inspiration from the early 2000s and refines that sound to capture modern audiences. It consists of vocalist Nikos Melas, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Dionyssis Bourazanis, lead guitarist Thanassis Dadakarides, bassist Manolis Mathioudakis, and drummer George Dzerefos. ‘Aggressive Response’ was produced by David Prudent who also produced their 2020 album, “Time Is Now”. Ganzi Gun is back, and this track is a strong kick back into the scene.
