Bliss Carmxn /// Caffeine Orange

Canadian-born, now London-based dream pop solo artist, Bliss Carmxn, has emerged from their hiatus and ushered in a new era of their musical journey as they release Caffeine Orange, their first new single in over a year. An incredible return to the creative scene, the artist holds nothing back with this latest record, showcasing their full range of production talents, vocal range, and commitment to foster feelings of elation with the work they create.

The piece begins with a single reverberant bass note that echoes to introduce the music. A series of softly played instrumental accouterments quickly follow, and we feel the world of the music being built around us in real time. Soon after, the artist’s vocals appear, and quickly begin the narrative with the opening line “I get up and take a sip. Later still I turn to see what might be taking up so much of our time.” The elegant, dreamlike atmosphere of the music immediately transports listeners to a comforting place and puts us all in a headspace to take in the message at face value.

Showcasing their proclivities for creating an ecosystem within their tracks that feels safe and pensive in nature, while proving itself as unique and all of the artist’s own, Bliss Carmxn has made a bold statement about the direction they intend to take their work in. Having accomplished so much with this latest release, fans can only wait with anticipation to see what the newest chapter of this young artist’s career will bring next.
