‘U CAN’T CONTROL ME’ does well at taking pop sensibilities and harmony and dashing in some heavier rock instrumentation to give a punchiness to the sound. The verses of this track have some softer synth instrumentation that sounds a bit like wood and string instruments, with a percussive riff that establishes a moderate pacing.
