Alana Fisicaro /// Evil

Introducing their work to the world from their home and studio in Australia, Melborn-native indie pop Alana Fisicaro artist has emerged from the shadows in dramatic fashion to debut their unique and dark style of creativity to the world. Stepping into the limelight with her introductory single, the artist makes a bold declaration of her talents and proclivities as she releases her freshman track, Evil. Anchored in daring and courageous lyricism as well as grounded and mesmerizing production values, the single makes a strong statement of the artist’s creative proclivities and the well rounded ecosystems they can create within their work.

An ominous and reverberant electric guitar strums to begin the piece, and immediately we feel the world of the music build around us in real time as we sink into the tune. Fisciaro’s vocals enter shortly after, humming in a grim falsetto, and from there the song takes on a life of its own through its composition. As the focus shifts to the vocals, she quickly defines the story, as she delivers the opening line “It’s fine, no, it’s alright. You didn’t mean it, but you crossed that line,” with strong emotionality exuding from every syllable.

A powerful track about reclaiming one’s narrative and life story, the single plays as vulnerable and empowering with every verse, and reflects a level of maturity far beyond the artist’s age. Having accomplished so much with this first taste of what’s to come, fans can only wait with anticipation to see what could possibly be coming next from this young artist’s mind.
