Titles often offer the first clue about an artist’s intentions. unfinished conversations hints at loose ends, unanswered questions and moments that continue to linger, and Meli Foster-Turner follows that idea throughout her debut EP.
Rather than building everything around one defining statement, the EP explores different experiences that shape everyday life. Heartbreak, friendship and self-reflection all find their place, with each song adding another piece to the overall picture.
Opening track “Narcissist” provides one of the EP’s strongest moments, but it doesn’t dominate the collection. Tracks such as “Keeping score”, “Habit” and “Change” all help reinforce the themes running through the project, giving the release a satisfying sense of balance.
