You’ll Find Some Songs You Love Here if You’re a Fan of Electronic Music

Any lover of electronic music will find something they love in these 6 new tracks! The first 4 have more of an EDM, hyperpop, and synth-pop feel, and if you read on you can learn about a couple of standouts that are more pop and hip-hop-centric at the end!

James Atlas – Infinity

‘Infinity’ is a moderate-paced electronic track with a bass slap that works with a soft and smooth vocal base. This track has a perfect blend of rawness and crisp electronics. The vocals have a raw feel that allows the emotion to stand out, and the instrumentation is produced with smoothness and clarity. This track comes from a voice that’s feeling lost and lonely, which is where a lot of the emotion comes in. However, the chorus reminds the voice that “You’re infinity,” which may remind the listener of their worth. This is a track with a lot of emotion, but at the end of the day, it gives hope!

Cody Rowlett – Heartbeat

‘Heartbeat’ sticks with the path of being electronic, but it has some EDM synth-pop energy with light rock influences due to a bit of distortion in some of the instrumentation. The vocals are produced in this track to fit the electronic sounds, and overall, it makes things cohesive. This is one of those tracks that has an infectious danceable bump paired with catchy lyricism. This lyricism explores an aspect of music and how it captivates, the beat pumping the heart and driving listeners closer.

84DELOREAN – Electric Heartbeats

What is it about electronic music and heartbeats that seems to blend into some stellar music? ‘Electric Heartbeats’ is a percussion-heavy electronic track that delivers a lot of energy in a non-rushed way. There’s something nostalgic about the sound, as it has some electronic pop influences from the 80’s and 90’s, but the melody sounds more modernized. The vocals are smoothly delivered, have great rhythm, and have some filtering to fit them cleanly into the electronics. The lyrics do great at using imagery to build a neon landscape that feels like being at a futuristic rave.

Erevus – Glimpses

‘Glimpses’ takes the electronic basis of this list and forms it more with an emo-influenced hyperpop vibe. The instrumentation is loud and heavy, and the more bass tones take the stage. The electronics have a unique flow. The vocals have a lot of emotion and work well with a more screamed rap tone at times. This track may make listeners want to go to a rave but spend the whole time headbanging. The lyrics are packed with poetic emotion, as they explore a lost love with memories that pop up like glimpses to remind one of what was lost.

GlowDriver – Not Yet

‘Not Yet’ works with a pop basis and stands out with a catchy infectious sound and great work with a melody that works primarily with electronics in its instrumentation. That being said, it stands out from the hyper-electronic sounds in the rest of this list. It’s more pop-based, and a lot of the sounds are more natural. The pacing of this one is great, as it isn’t too fast, but it isn’t slow either. It hits a great middle ground. The instrumentation is full and works with lots of string sounds, a buzzy bass, claps, and electronic drums, among other sounds. That being said, with so many sounds, it isn’t overpowering. The vocals take the stage, and they work with storytelling well. Overall, it explores what it’s like to dream and find one’s way to the top.

Oliver Slime Ft. Delahcruz – Baby, Are You Down For Me?

‘Baby, Are You Down For Me?’ also stands out from the primary electronic sounds in this list. This is a hip-hop track with a nostalgic crackle and warmth that comes straight from a record player. The beat hits the lo-fi introspective sound just right, and it pulls a rap sound in with fire flow and an emotional cut. This track hits that sad rap vibe that doesn’t fail to make someone get in their own head, relate, and think. One thing that stands out well is that there’s a sax with just a bit of dissonance, and it adds a lot to the atmosphere. This track explores a relationship that fell apart due to mutual struggles and a disconnect that comes after, but it also explores a side of yearning for closeness that once was.
