Mal Hombre, a Hard Rock artist from Germany has their new single out now. In the beginning of this song, the vocals shine through on the bare sounding instrumental. The simple sounds of the introduction set up the explosion of sound when the full band comes into place. The heavy drum and guitar sound is clearly influenced by alternative rock legends, their Facebook page cites Queens of the Stone Age and Rage Against The Machine as major influences.
He starts the song almost at a whisper, and introduces new musical parts as the piece crescendos into a rock banger. The guitars give off an unsettling feeling as they pierce the listeners soul. The drums are powerful and help set the mood of the section, just like the minimal percussion helps set the mood in the beginning section.
The lyrics reflect a narrator who is singing out to some third party, maybe a friend or romantic interest. Regardless of who they are singing to, the universal message of comforting them, and supporting them by reminding them that things will get better and improve is heard on this song. He sings, “I’ve been there with you, For my love is true, You’re gonna rise while you’re flying high, You’re gonna rise and I’ll be by your side.”
His debut album titled “Leche Negra” will be released February 18, 2022. There are already other singles available on streaming services, so there is plenty of music to check out and explore with Mal Hombre.
