Serving as the Melbourne artists debut single, the track showcases high vulnerability that of a longstanding artist. The way that Jade is able to convey her deepest thoughts and feelings on the track “Golden Hours” has us extremely excited for what’s to come. She often refers to earlier memories that she shared with a lover, proclaiming no matter the distance between them now, she’ll “love you forever, though.”
“Golden Hours” speaks to a greater purpose; Jade can reminisce and appreciate the past, but she ultimately knows that there’s more to look forward to in the coming. Instead of sulking around in the “what if’s” and “could have beens,” Jade makes the choice to be confident and encouraged about what’s to come. Her resilient spirit is inspiring and creates for an exceptional first track from the brilliant Jade Empress.
Jade’s outstanding, bone-chilling vocals heighten the track to new levels. “Golden Hours” creates an angelic aura in each listening experience. The fantastic instrumental paired with Jade’s rich vocals will make you truly question if this is Jade’s first single; it’s just that great.
You’d never have guessed that Jade has been working as a doctor on the fronts for the past 18 months. She turned to songwriting during those trying times, using music as an outlet for the stress and pain that she experienced day in and out.
