“Vanish the Night” is the newest song by Alternative Pop group Ooberfuse. They merge a variety of styles for this single, and have an interesting concept lyrically as well.
This Pop Dance song has a catchy beat and vocals. The synthesizers, drum beat and guitar part lead the track along, providing most of the structure for the track. Artists Gerry Leonard and nuMori are featured on the song. Leonard is playing guitar, and nuMori helped with the production.
Ooberfuse is made up of instrumentalist Hal St John and vocalist Cherrie Anderson. Hal St John adds the verse vocals on this track as well. Their style of merging Dance with Rock and Pop is unique, and is an interesting combination of sounds.
This song may sound like a dance song, but it has elements of Rock and Hip-Hop as well. The majestic guitar part draws in the listeners ears, and the rap verses talk about looking at things from a different perspective, and calling out those in charge. The tone of the lyrics could be more dark than the tone of the music, but they still sync up well together.
The chorus is sung by Cherrie Anderson, and she uses her soothing voice to make an exciting vocal part. She sings the chorus three times throughout the song, as well as one bridge section in the middle.
Ooberfuse was formed and located in London, UK. They have had success touring in Beijing, according to their Bandcamp website. Their upcoming album will be titled, “A State of Emergency”.
