“Suzy Blue” is the new single by rock artist Hello Amnesia. This track features hard hitting guitars, drums, and even an organ solo. The songwriting is blues influenced, with the vocal style comparable to the rock hits of the 1980s.
The guitars are introduced first with the main riff. The rest of the band joins for a short introduction section before the vocals join in. “Oh Suzy Blue I, only wanna be with you,” he sings on a short refrain. The lyrics describe the feelings by the narrator for this woman, Suzy Blue.
The theme seems to be that of a love song, although the lyrics describe the desire for this person, rather than enjoying the pleasure of the relationship. The singer is wanting her so badly, that it is driving him crazy. “Suzy why do I keep coming back for more. You’re only gonna throw my heart on the floor!” he sings with vibrato. The tempo increases in the last 30 seconds of the track, as the band jams toward an exclamation point ending to the track.
Hello Amnesia is a band made up of members from several different countries. According to their Spotify description, they are from Turkey, Wales, New Zealand, Portugal, and North England. They have also toured with artists Proud Mary and King No-One in the London area. Hello Amnesia only has two songs released on Spotify so far, however they plan to continue releasing content this year, so keep an eye out for future releases from the multinational group.
