Utah-based pop artist and songwriter, Carson Ferris, released his latest track called “Talkin’ to You” on October 20th. This amazing single was able to follow in the footsteps of his previous single titled “1999.”
As producer Mykyl and mixer Adam Turley gave this song such a Halloween-inspired sound just in time for the upcoming holiday, “Talkin’ to You” was able to have a compelling introduction with an accompaniment that is rhythmic and engaging. With strong and expressive vocals from Carson himself, the sounds of any and all instruments involved in this upbeat single made this melody full and rich. While this tune has continued to advance throughout, Carson is able to give his audience something that they can relate to, especially when it comes down to something that frightens them most.
Speaking of “Talkin’ to You,” Carson shares that this single is “about the scariest thing possible: telling the person you like that you like them.” He also goes on to share how this tune is, in many ways, “super relatable because the fear of rejection is something that everyone has felt in one way or another.”
If you’re looking for an artist who is able to give their take on all things relatable, Carson Ferris is your go-to artist. “Talkin’ to You” seems like a real promise as the single’s meaningful lyrics were able to give a glimpse at how one or multiple things in life can be quite challenging and scary to overcome. While the performance quality of “Talkin’ to You” was high throughout, it was melodic and tuneful overall as Carson is able to continue to share his wonderful talent with new and current listeners who are able to listen to his music.
