Signora /// Laurentis

Laurentis is a San Jose, CA based singer, rapper, producer who incorporates many different genres within his sound. With “Signora” he composes a serenade that serves as a relaxing love song that has sprinkles of acoustic, electronic, singer-songwriter that is influenced by BROCKHAMPTON and Bad Bunny. With interesting production and catchy, hypnotic melodies, Laurentis has crafted a memorable serenade.

The tune begins with a beautiful vocal melody and piano chords alongside a tasteful acoustic guitar. The verse introduces us to an electronic lush pad and gritty distorted guitar textures that are juxtaposed with the ethereal choral sounding layers and Laurentis’ smooth lead vocals. A Reggaeton drum pattern drives the song as an auto-tuned effected hook, inspired by BROCKHAMPTON, takes centerstage, maintaining the song’s intimate spirit.

The second verse touches on trust in a relationship and the faith that you will still be loved even if someone can leave you at any moment. It starts with a simple four on the floor kick that eventually returns its Reggaeton driven snare. The song really excels in its beautiful vocal layers. The ad-libs buried in the background during the hook are really pretty.  Before you know it you’re at the conclusion of the song as the piano chords play along with the lead hook line, which is a personal favorite moment to the record.

“Signora” never overstays its welcome, sitting at a lean 2:49, ultimately inspiring a playback with its catchy and heartfelt qualities. Laurentis is a talented artist and for fans of a smooth love song that is sincere and subtle, this one’s for you. We look forward to hearing what’s next from Laurentis.
