At times, we come across musical pieces of work and artists that are true game changers. It’s one thing to create a unique track, and another to create one that communicates a storyline; but we reach brand new territory when an artist is able to blend these two attributes. We find all of this and more through Manny Hyuga’s track “03 ghost-type.”

At the mere age of 21-years-old, Manny Hyuga is an independent artist and college student from Colorado. Writing, recording and producing all of their own works, we’re stunned by Manny Hyuga’s dedication and determination to their craft. Their latest piece of work, “03 ghost-type” is apart of their soon-to-come album Shine, Rodriguez. The album, like the track, speaks to self-exploration and discovery, which is something that we can all relate to.

Creating a very contemporary sound at the onset of the piece, we’re instantly trusting of Manny Hyuga’s genuine aura. The track speaks to the sorrow that we often feel when keeping secrets and hiding off parts of our self from the world. The vulnerability on this track is beautiful to see, and we get to see an all-new side of Manny Hyuga. They sing out, “I just wish I could tell you, I don’t want to risk it…”

The track itself sounds like nothing we’ve heard yet before. The unique vibe on the track is met with a fantastic, interesting production value. Sounding almost animated at time, we’re in love with this new take on an alternative track by Manny Hyuga.

A trendsetter likely ahead of their time, Manny Hyuga is an artist that you better keep your eyes on. Make sure to stay tuned for this upcoming album Shine, Rodriguez, and stream “03 ghost-type.”
