Nottingham-based singer-songwriter, Harpa, released her track titled “Hollow” just a couple of weeks ago on 10 June 2022. This tune was able to follow “I’ve Been In Love Before,” a debut single that she had released back in May of 2021.
“Hollow” was able to start off soft and smooth as if one is in a meadow full of flowers with a vocal tone that is warm and rich within seconds after the track began. As the track progresses, however, the sounds of instruments like the drums give off a soft rock and rock-pop vibe, which makes the tune feel more balanced and atmospheric. Listeners are able to hear a classical sound coming from such a creative piece as the song continues to progress throughout.
Speaking of “Hollow,” it has been shared that this piece is “about the cost of loving with your entire being… the anguish of feeling yourself falling again, knowing the price you will have to pay, and being helpless; unable to stop yourself.”
Harpa is definitely an artist that you should listen to if you’re looking for an artist that is putting her best foot forward, showing the world that her amazing talent has a lot to offer as it is able to share its magnificent creativity and the strong emotions behind each and every single word ever sung. “Hollow” seems as if a promise had been made of one trying to find the pieces that had once fallen as one tries to find themselves again.
