“New Breed” is a new single by artist Mortal Prophets. The keyboards draw the listener in with their vibrant and mesmerizing chords. The drums bring in the energy and continue movement of the track forward, with an echoey vocal part which brings everything together.
Use of reverb and other effects are prevalent on this track. The first 45 seconds of the track are instrumental, and then the vocals come in. The vocals have an enchanting and mystical tone as the echo between chords. “New Breed” shifts tone from one part to the next to avoid sounding repetitive. The keyboards have multiple melodies connecting to each other, with a faint echo, the listener is transported as if they are in outer space. All the moving parts fit together well to create a serene and overtaking powerful experience.
Mortal Prophets is led by John Beckmann, and they are set to release a new album later this year, “The Confessions of a Sword Swallower”. He brought on Grammy award winner Joe LaPorta to master the track. The production and songwriting of the track was by Beckmann, as he has been staying busy lately. “It’s been a fruitful time right now, so I’m just running as fast as I can,” he said in a press release. They have also recently released an EP, “Meine Liebe”.
