Ava Valianti, an artist based in Massachusetts, released her latest single, “Laugh Track,” on April 4th. This incredible melody followed in the footsteps of her previous single, which was released sometime in 2024, “Wishing Well.”
Laugh Track’s introduction was varied and rhythmic. Ava has a warm and expressive vocal tone, pouring her heart and soul into every word being sung. The lyrics are original and amusing, with their clever and meaningful phrases. Instrumentally, “Laugh Track” has a rich accompaniment that complements the vocal track well; the guitar and/or any other instruments involved have made this release smooth and compelling. As the track progresses, Ava can give her intended audience a story that they may be able to relate to on a certain level.
Speaking of “Laugh Track,” Ava shared that she “wrote Laugh Track as a way to process the feeling of always being ‘on’ – like I’m performing even when no one’s watching.” She then says that she “always had this weird sense that my life is being observed, like I’m in some kind of TV show where my mistakes are the punchline. This song is me stepping back and asking, ‘Am I in control of my own story, or am I just playing a part?’ ”
If you’re looking for an artist who can share a relatable story through their tracks, Ava Valianti is your go-to artist. “Laugh Track” seems like a real promise, as the lyrics can be a way to process how someone feels. Vocally and instrumentally, the performance quality of “Laugh Track” was high throughout; the single is tuneful and catchy overall as Ava continues to share her music and incredible talent with the world.
