The Canada based artist, TVN, has released their latest track, “Downtown Levitated”, which is a moody hip hop track. With prominent lyrics, infectious melodies, and an excellent production, this song is perfect for a drive late at night.
“This that downtown levitated” are the first lyrics in the track and they set the mood for the entire song. The first part of the lyrics tell a story of a high escapade late at night while the second part of the lyrics discuss how they have problems with significant others. The lyrics also have a free-ing sense to them as all the listener can picture is a fun drive on the town during the night.
The melodies and production are very infectious as well. The production is mostly backed by moody drums and an ambient sound. It gives this wonderful capricious vibe to the song, and it allows the listener to feel as free as TVN. The production also assists TVN’s incredible mesmerizing melodies. The vocals and melodies are very hypnotic and will make the listener feel all the emotions TVN projects. It is extremely relaxed and perfectly exhibits TVN’s mastery over the track. “Downtown Levitated” concludes with a clip of a woman stating all the things she looks for in a man. For example she looks for someone who is “focused and driven on himself” and it adds to the song by bringing in a woman’s perspective.
“Downtown Levitated” is an excellent hip hop song that would be perfect to listen to late at night while driving. With the prominent lyrics mixed with the enthralling melodies and production, TVN showcases his talents exceptionally well.
