It is time to live for eternity! The release of Israeli pop duo, Lomipo’s, track, “Angels,” took place on October 8, 2021. Time to flap those wings because you are in for a smooth and peaceful ride as the beat makes you want to dance!
Lomipo is not just a typical music duo. According to the pop duo’s website, members Shai Pinto and Orion Rose have come together to express their identity in music as well as being able to create a unique sound that was bound to come with it. While Orion shares that it’s all about “making the music that we like most and putting ourselves out there,” Shai states that this was the start of the road for him and Orion as they “hope that we’ll get to follow it wherever it takes us.”
This track represented the duo’s respected genre of pop. Not only does it represent the pop genre, it also has a mix of indie pop, electronic pop, and alternative pop with a beat that can knock your socks off instantly.
The beat was not the only noteworthy aspect of the track. What also drew my attention during the track was how the vocal tone was rather expressive when lyrics were sung, creating a strong sense of feeling as it brings power and an impressive pitch range. The lyrics, however, were meaningful and deep with phrases such as “Can’t you see we’re animals?” and “‘Cause I’m coming with my heart on my sleeve.” Instrumentally, the track has an accompaniment that was powerful, compelling, and, in many ways, rhythmic.
The performance quality of the track is, both vocally and instrumentally, rather high as it provides a powerful message of some sort. Overall, the song is original and catchy, and I have no doubt that these two will soar to the top in no time.
