The three-person french band GmBt Life’s debut album “10 Minutes” is officially out today, April 22nd, 2022. One of the singles on the album, “His Voice Is Sweet,” is a dreamy, hazy, ultra-relaxing single, taking the listener on an extraordinary journey to get ready for this unique album.
GmBt Life consists of Aleksi, Timo, & Nabim, three people from completely different backgrounds and parts of the world, yet they all come together to create distinct sounds. Something unique about the group is they do everything on their own: write the music, play each instrument, record it, produce it, and mix it. Every artist carefully crafted everything the listener hears to create this fantastic, alluring track.
The captivating folk song begins with the simple strumming of guitars and drums when a deep, mesmerizing voice comes in with the lyrics, “His voice is sweet; he’s taking drugs”; are drugs a metaphor, or is this reality? It’s unknown, but by the gloomy atmosphere of the song, it is likely true. The instrumental becomes more powerful and louder as the track continues, with more force in each verse.
