Sydney Gordon, a singer/songwriter based in New York, released her latest track titled “Obsessed” on September 16th. This super catchy tune has been able to follow the footsteps of a previous single that she released a while back called “Flirt With Disaster.”
“Obsessed” was able to give off rock pop vibes, having a rhythmic introduction with an accompaniment that is, in many ways, compelling and atmospheric. With strong and powerful vocals from Sydney herself, the instruments that were able to provide that compelling but atmospheric instrumental accompaniment were able to pave the way for what this track had to give for all to hear. As the track continues to progress throughout, Sydney’s audience was given the opportunity to see how catchy this track is, as well as the story behind how it came to be.
Speaking of “Obsessed,” Sydney goes on to explain that she wrote this single during a time when she was in a relationship with someone that she was into up until the point where it became rather unhealthy. She then goes on to share that the relationship she was in wasn’t balanced and “it was driving me crazy how unpredictable it was.”
If you’re looking for a singer/songwriter that is able to capture an audience’s attention through the eyes of someone who has gone through an unhealthy relationship, then Sydney Gordon is your go-to artist. “Obsessed” seems like a real promise as she was able to tell her own story of how a relationship can turn completely unhealthy within a certain amount of time.
