Brian Bacon – Murder of Crows

‘Murder of Crows’ is a resounding synthy piano masterpiece with a nice flow and bounce and some classic rock influence dashed in. The piano, bass, and percussion all play into each other well, the vocals are harmonized nicely, and there’s a guitar solo that hits right. It’s a perfect gateway for the gothic lyricism that’s delivered in a creative and vivid way.

Falling Together – Andrew Batcheler

‘Falling Together’ is a rush of indie rock greatness. The guitar riffs and their layers give a nice groove, and the vocals rival them in technicality. On top of that, the mixing and simple percussion let each part of the guitar find its space. Then, there is an overall sound of chatter in the background which livens things up a lot. The chorus works around the hook, “I got you, you got me, and everything is alright.” There’s something so comforting through the connection the lyrics give, even when it explores the way that harder things do come in life.

June Jugg – Shapeshifter Ft. HOOKS

‘Shapeshifter’ benefits from its lo-fi production style instrumentally, which allows the vocals to stand out as crisp. Overall, the vocals have such a steady flow and build atmosphere with the guitars. The lyrics explore the want to change for someone else, to become what they want. They work a lot with repetition, but not in a way that’s boring. It more takes the feeling and lets it resound.

Clouds of Ilias – Autumn Is Near

‘Autumn Is Near’ is a piece of acoustic beauty that builds atmosphere with the synths and scattered piano. The vocals have a really nice rasp to them and work dynamically with their tone. Lyrically, it paints a picture of what it’s like to enter Autumn. It’s done in a poetic way in which entering Autumn could reference the season or the falling into the coldness of mental health and the need to be shown love and care.

Summer Solow – Make Me Feel Alive

‘Make Me Feel Alive’ has this overall growl in the production of the trap instrumentation. The beat works off of a guitar sample and trap drums to raise the energy. This track follows the lines of emo rap, but the bars hit hard. On top of that, they’re delivered with a lot of emotion. Then, the lyrics delve into mental health, hurt experienced, and personal battles.

Lily Taylor – Peace There

Believe it or not, ‘Peace There’ is peaceful. The vocals are beautiful and soft, and they riff and bend smoothly. The synths are simple but work with tonalities that fill a large musical range, and the vocal harmonies add a lot of color. Overall, it’s atmospheric and peaceful. It seems to explore the idea of being in a relationship but having knowledge that there will be change, and a specific role cannot be filled. It plays a lot with poeticism and emotion, and it gives a lot to think about and explore.

Emland – Better off without me

‘Better off without me’ works with electronic drums, synths that drone and pace the energy well, and vocals with a unique tone that have a fullness to them. It’s exciting musically and definitely hits those dancey vibes. But then the lyrics go to a more emotional place. They get into what it’s like being in a space in which it feels like not feeling good enough. The voice of the song seems to feel like they’re not in the place they should be to be with someone they love.

RFazer – Mine (Remix) Ft TYE TOWN

‘Mine (Remix)’ is an interesting mix of R&B, dancey pop, and hip-hop. On top of that, there’s a little bit of guitar that has some rock energy. It’s eclectic and uses the sounds from each genre well. The main vocals riff beautifully, and the rap verse by TYE TOWN has a dynamic flow and works well with the R&B harmonies. The lyrics are filled with yearning and obsession, but in a way in which each voice of the track wants more than something casual but are held back.

Adriana Granobles – By Your Side

‘By Your Side’ is a country folk ballad that is delivered with a sense of tenderness. The guitar fills the space with both strumming and fingerpicking, and there are harmonica bits that add a bright buzz. The lyrics go into the tenderness, beauty, and connection of love. Also, there’s a spoken word bit to keep things exciting even with the laid-back pacing. Overall, this is one beautiful single.

Brian Bacon – Good Earth of Ours

Brian Bacon opened things up, and thus will close things out, ‘Good Earth of Ours’ is unique from ‘Murder of Crows’. It trades the electronic sound with a more acoustic sound, is more laid back instrumentally, and delves into a more natural soundscape. Once again, it’s well-produced and delivered, and it does play with acoustic and electric elements. Also, there’s a trumpet solo introduced that adds a nice warmth, and natural sound effects fill the space. This one sounds like a love song to the Earth, does well at painting pictures of nature, and evokes a sense of exploration.
