Three Is A Crowd /// Tanizzle

Three Is A Crowd composes its crowd of tracks between three pieces. All of them have house and EDM influences, and they flow into an adventurous sound between tracks. This EP was released on March 3 of this year.

‘Trifecta’ introduces things well with electronic percussion with hi-hats that weave between the left and right stereo, and a mix of both electronic and classical sounds. The main beat has an EDM sound with a pulled-back pacing, but cello and piano sounds complement it well.

‘No Vacancy’ follows a similar percussive beat, however, the sounds that transfer between ears have more of a shakery effect. This track is almost cinematic with its dynamic flow. It raises the energy at a smooth pace as different synth sounds are introduced. Listening to this track feels almost like going on a journey through a magical forest.

‘Third Wheel’ picks up the pacing and has a brighter and more beepy primary synth than the other tracks. This track throws in another work that stands out from the others. But it keeps cohesive musical themes. The percussion has a more picked-up pacing, and the rattle and shaking sound effects play well with the bass to give a dancey bounce. Then the primary synth gives a lifelike melody alongside energetic sound effects.

Tanizzle, or Sir Tanizzle, is the musical project that’s focused on uniqueness and energy by the artist Mark “Drill Manga” Foxx. He gets into his own studio to oversee every part of the artistry and production of his music. And, it does blend into a musical style that has originality to it. Three Is A Crowd was essentially a one-man project, and Foxx crafted it all himself, but he had other musicians give him early feedback and share ideas. This release feels exciting but not rushed, it’s dancey but not overwhelming. Let’s see how Sir Tanizzle evolves after this great first release!
