This is the new single by artist ET, “Savage.” ET raps on this Hip-Hop track, and his delivery is also very melodic as he half rap/sings the words. He is from Willimantic, CT, and attends Eastern Connecticut State University. The beat is fairly straightforward, with a piano and synthesizer part, and the main drum kit leading the track forward. ET raps about the struggles of being a young artist, and having high aspirations such as becoming a “millionaire.”

His sense for melody is good on “Savage,” because his voice keeps the listener engaged with the song and its message. The song was released on January 21, and already is in his top five songs on Spotify. His other big songs include, “What a WRLD” and “Harder.” He has 692 monthly listeners and is growing on Spotify. He has released 12 singles so far, but his potential is just beginning.

His melodic sense is good, which only helps with the songwriting and the recording process. Any kind of music background can help with the development of an artist since they are using that previous knowledge and applying it to their new sound or project. ET has that songwriting knowledge, and has the talent to record and execute the sound that they want to make.

The song starts with a 27 second intro, then ET starts rapping. The hook of the song includes this line, “Ballin’ so hard like I’m the new Laker,” he raps.
