All I Do (Is Cry) /// Lex Gibbon

We’ve all been stuck in a confusing relationship, or “situationship,” as we call them now. Though we feel such a strong connection with someone, they seem to continue to break our hearts and string us along with their childish games. These “situationships” make us question our relationship with this specific person, wondering why they choose to play these games instead of committing. This scenario is depicted perfectly in Lex Gibbon’s hit pop track, ‘All I Do (Is Cry).

UK singer/songwriter Lex Gibbon expresses a deep level of vulnerability on ‘All I Do (Is Cry)’ while only being 17 years old. Having been bullied from a young age, Lex makes it apart of her mission to speak about mental health and the effects that it can inflict in one’s life. She strives to create music that can help those going through rough times, offering some inspiration for her listeners.

Aside from her astounding musical career, Lex became the first curve teen model to walk in London, Paris, New York and LA fashion week(s), while appearing in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Tatler. It’s safe to say that Lex’s career is only beginning, and we cannot wait to see what else she accomplishes in the future.

Her track ‘All I Do (Is Cry)’ will reel you in from beginning to end. From showcasing upbeat, melodic pop vibes combined with the tough topic surrounding rough relationships, Lex creates vibes reminiscent of the great Dua Lipa. Lex speaks about how confusing this situation is, how this person continues to go back and forth between her and another girl.

She raves about how she wishes she could get out of this situation, to find some clarity in the midst of the mess. She sings about the chaos, professing, “Why am I not blaming you, does she know, the hours we spent on the phone, things we did all alone…”

Along with the release of the song, we see a modern, exhilarating music video for ‘All I Do (Is Cry).’ Hinting to her social media roots, the video showcases social media references and a texting scheme throughout. The lyrics pop up on the screen as if they were text messages, while we see a “TikTok video” of Lex singing the chorus.

This modern pop hit will leave you wanting more from Lex, and we can’t blame you.
